Women Awakening Project is a multimedia platform created in 2023 by Italian writer and content creator Erica Bassani as a space to gather the wisdom of women teachers & leaders across spiritual traditions.

The mission is to honour the inner journey of women, offer healthy and empowering female spiritual role models, and inspire both women and men to embrace the power of softness as we co-create a fiercely gentle path forward.

Regardless of the spiritual traditions we may follow, the wisdom of women guides us in remembering what it means to be fundamentally supported by our own innate goodness and the Divine—and reawakens within us the capacity to care for life from a deep, embodied knowing that all is sacred, interconnected, and worthy of devotion.
The Wisdom of Women
​Women of the East and the West. Monastics held by ancient lineages, laywomen, mothers.
Walking unseen paths, carving new ones. They change the world in ways that can't be measured. They invite us to look inward with fierce tenderness, to cross thresholds with open hearts and to go through the darkness and come out on the other side.
Chanting mantras, dancing with our shadows, and falling, again and again, in love with silence.
You’ll find them in temples, gardens, city streets, woods, convents, and mountain caves.
They guide with presence—sometimes through sacred texts, sometimes on the wind—drifting beyond time, walking on the waters of life, bringing the good news:

My name is Erica Bassani.
I work as a copywriter and writer based in Italy. The Women Awakening Project was born from my need to connect with female role models in the spiritual realm and enquire spirituality as it is embodied and experienced by women nowadays.
Spending a year in a Buddhist monastery revealed to me the fundamental nature of spirituality and the vast areas of gender awareness that still need to be addressed within spiritual traditions.
